I love my veggies, especially broccoli. We cook them several ways. Roasted, broiled, stir fried, grilled, but sometimes I just want steamed broccoli. I like them just past crunchy, but not mushy. It was hard to get them to perfection. Using this microwave steamer from Tupperware helps me to achieve that steamed broccoli perfection.
I just chop the broccoli and put it in the top basket, put about 1/4 inch of water in the bottom bowl, cover and microwave for 5 minutes.
I remove it right away, otherwise, it will keep cooking and turn it into a mushy mess. It’s the last thing I do when I’m making supper, this way I can serve them immediately.
I steam all of my veggies this way- asparagus, zucchini, etc.
